- Quenched & Tempered
- All links marked with material heat code for traceability, size, SKOOKUM, USA and A8 to signify grade 80
- Individual Certificate of Conformance* with each link
- Each link is proof tested at the factory two times the working load limit to the Proof Test Load value using fixturing IAW ASTM A-952 with a max contact of 60% of the inside width.
- If a secondary proof test is required to prove workmanship of the assembly, only proof test IAW the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- All Skookum products should be used at or below their working load limit.
- Links 1 1/2” and smaller are drop forged
- Links 1 3/4” and larger are robotically welded
*Sizes 4" and above are proof tested at customer request only; a certificate of conformance is still provided.
